I was deliberating on whether to do a 'June Favourites' post but as I have been forcing myself to do a weekly rotation of the products in my makeup bag (with exception to my base products) I don't really have any products I couldn't leave alone but there are a few I'm finding hard to put away.

First up we have the beautiful Stila Field Of Florals Palette £30, I wanted this palette ever since I saw it's release in the US and it was so worth the wait. Even the shades I thought would not work on my fairly pale complexion sheer out to a beautiful wash of colour. Cream blushers are my favourite and with the huge variety of shades in this palette it's a true space saver in your makeup bag.

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer has been my favourite primer over the last couple of weeks, I had completely forgotten what a pleasure it is to use. This cooling gel primer doesn't do an amazing job of concealing pores or blurring lines but it does give my base a glowing finish and keeps everything in place all day, perfect for the summer.

Clinique's Nude Pop Cheek Pop blusher unfortunately isn't available in the UK so I won't go on about it too much but I will say now I'm sporting more of a bronzed look it's perfect for that barely there makeup look.

Ok so NARS Light Reflecting Setting Powder £26.50 hasn't just recently been a favourite of mine but it is one that I'm really starting to appreciate more now the warm weather is here. This powder keeps everything in place all day without that obvious powder finish to your skin, I adore this stuff!

Another product that has been a favourite for a while and an absolute godsend in this weather is Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade £15, this stuff really doesn't fade or budge. I'd recently discovered the product was starting to dry up and really didn't want to part with it so I placed a drop of baby oil in and voila it's totally revived!

I'd recently ran out of my favourite Lancome Hypnose mascara and rather than rushing out for a new one I though I'd try some of the mascara's in my stash waiting to be used. Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara £19 has been a pleasant surprise, I initially thought it wouldn't be all that as the brush on the wand is quite big but it does an amazing job of separating and lengthening lashes.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade | £15

Unless you have been living under a rock you can't have missed all platforms of social media ablaze with reviews on this stuff. As I usually use a powder (MAC Espresso eyeshadow) on my brows I brushed it off for a while but a couple of weeks a caved in and wanted to know what all of the fuss was all about and all I can say is it's uh-maz-ing!

So what is it? It's a waterproof, smudge proof and humidity proof brow colour in the form of a creamy almost gel like formula. What surprised me the most about this stuff is how little you need to use, I'm talking about just skimming the surface lightly with your brush gives you enough to fill in your whole brow. I was a little worried about getting that over-done brow look but I have found using light strokes with an angled brush gives me a lovely natural finish.

I went for the shade Dark Brown and it's the perfect match for my natural brow colour. Because you need to use so little of this product the jar will last forever making it a real investment. I have to admit, I'm a total convert from the brown eyeshadow I used for years!

Benefit Instant Brow Pencil Review And Swatches

I purchased Benefit's Instant Brow Pencil rrp £15.50 earlier this week as I really wanted something quick and easy to use for those days when I'm in a bit of a rush or I'm not looking to wear a lot of make-up. On a normal day when I allow myself a little more time to do my make-up I use my HD Brows Eye & Brow Palette which is fab as I have everything I need in one place, anyways back to my new timesaving product... I wasn't expecting anything 'wow' from an eyebrow pencil as well, they are just that aren't they? I will say that the handy little brush on the end of it is very good, it's firm enough to brush brows and blend in the pencil but not hard enough to remove the pencil completely. I decided to go for medium brown which I think is a really good colour match for me, it has an ever so slight red undertone to it which compliments my chocolate brown hair perfectly. 

The formula wasn't at all what I was expecting, I was expecting it to be more like a waxy pencil consistency but this pencil is more like a gel formula. It applies very easily so I think you may have to be a little cautious of over-doing it but it soon dries into a naturally ever so slightly powdery finish.

Now I'm not the kinda gal to be found sweating profusely or rubbing my hands on my face on a normal day so I can't really comment on the durability to those extremes but I can say that I applied first thing, went about my normal day (got caught in the rain a couple of times!) and when I checked my face in the evening it handn't faded or budged. 

I think Benefit's Instant Brow will be a great part of my lazy day make-up and although a little apprehensive of the colour match due to ordering online I think I picked the perfect colour for me.

Eyeko Brow Gel Review

Today I rather excitedly received in the post Eyeko Brow Gel £18 rrp. Over the last few months brows have become my 'thing' and after filling them in I love to use a brow gel to set them and really give them a defined finish.

After one use I can confidently say that I love Eyeko's Brow Gel! It's a tinted eyebrow gel which they say will suite all shades from blonde to brunette however the gel is a dark brown shade with, I don't know if you can pick it out from the photo's, flecks of gold in, I would say more suited for medium to dark brown shades. The 'nano-brush' is small and really aids precision application without clumps or an overload of product on brows.

This eyebrow gel is said to be infused with Keratin and Gingko Bilabo combined with natural proteins and multivitamins to condition, thicken and visibly improve the appearance of brows. Whatever it has in it I definitely prefer it over my current brow gel (Maybelline Brow Drama). It goes on so smoothly, coating each individual hair leaving them plumper yet natural looking. This is definitley a makeup bag staple for me now I have discovered it.
