Last Week's Most Worn
Tuesday, 26 May 2015
Hello lovelies, I hope everyone is well and had a lovely long Bank Holiday weekend off work, I was working (boo!) and it was extremely busy so I thought I'd share with you today the products I reached for most last week to mask my fatigue in the office.
When I'm feeling tired the last thing I want to to is spend 30 minutes on my base and strangely enough I find the more foundation I'm wearing the worse my skin looks so I start with Topshop Beauty Airbrush Primer to help shrink the appearance of pores and just smooth everything out and then I apply the seriously impressive Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream, this stuff does an amazing job of covering imperfections, evening out skin tone and leaving a healthy dewy glow. For my tired eyes I start with my holy grail eye product Bobbi Brown Corrector to counteract any darkness and then I use a light dabbing of Clarins Instant Concealer I also like to apply a little to my chin, nose and cupids bow as it leaves a gorgeous glow to your skin and brightens my face up. For cheeks I'm loving an old favourite which I dug out from my collection Bourjois Cream Blush 02 Healthy Glow, this colour blends seamlessly and lifts my whole complexion.
When I'm feeling/looking tired I like to keep my eye makeup quite fresh so I start with Lancome Base Paupières Pro to keep my eyeshadow in place and then apply a light sweep of the lightest shade from L'Oreals Color Riche La Palette Nude Beige being sure to apply in the inner corners of my eyes. I then like to apply a thin line of Illamasqua Precision Gel Liner to my lash line and the instantly brightening Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl in the shade nude to my waterline, this instantly makes me look more awake. For lashes I am loving Clinique Lash Building Primer to really add body and volume to my lashes and then finish with a sweep of my favourite mascara Lancome Hypnose. For brows I am loving Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade as it has everything I need to quickly fill in sparse brows and stay put all day. To set everything in place I'm absolutely loving NARS Light Reflecting Setting Powder as it sets everything in place but doesn't take away the glow of my base and enhances the glow of my skin.
Phew it seems like a lot of products but we're actually talking about 20 minutes in the morning from looking half dead to healthy! Do you see any of your favourites here or anything you'd want to try?

Illamasqua Blusher in Allure | rrp £21.50
One blusher I will miss using now spring is upon us is Illamsqua's Allure. This gorgeous dusty rose pink with a fine gold shimmer finish delivers a lovely flush of colour and leaves cheeks with a luminous sheen. I do find this shade (on a pale skinned girl like myself) works best with winter makeup as it's extremely pigmented and can be a little difficult to use lightly.
I adore this shade, the only thing I do find with the formula is as it's so soft and buttery you get a lot of fall out no matter how lightly you run your brush over the pan. Illamasqua is still a relatively new brand to me but everything I have tried has been pretty impressive. What are your Illamasqua must-haves?

I don't know about you but nowadays I am finding my makeup stash is becoming so large that unless I have a weekly rotation of products I never get around to using them! This week I've been loving copper tones on my eyes with a nude lip, here's the products I've been reaching for all week...
Urban Decay Naked Palette | RRP £38
I'm not an avid eyeshadow wearer so I go through the motions with this palette, I can go months without giving it a thought but then once I start wearing it again I can't put it down! This palette is perfect for girls like me who prefer neutral shades and with the palette having shades with satin, shimmer and matte finishes you can really switch up your look.
Illamasqua Powder Blusher | Allure | RRP £21.50
A gorgeous dusky rose-pink that has really been complimenting the bronzed theme I have gone with this week. As you can expect from Illamasqua this blusher is highly pigmented and extremely flattering. There's a subtle hint of shimmer that brings your cheeks to life which I love!
Lancome La Base Paupieres Pro | Beige Ivoire | RRP £21
My favourite eyeshadow primer at the moment, it offers a bare skin effect that enhances eyes and sets eyeshadows for all-day wear. This primer evens out the texture of your eyelids, is waterproof and doesn't crease or smudge.
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream | Stockholm | RRP £6.50
This natural shade provides the perfect finish to the bronze hued look I have been sporting most of the week. A soft, buttery formula that leaves lips matte yet not dried out.

October's You Beauty Discovery shortlist 'Handbag Hero's' is a selection of products aimed to aid quick-fixes for hair, nails, skin and also includes some lovely make-up items.
My two product selections this month were probably the two hottest items on the shortlist, with YBD recently changing their site so that selections could only be made from 7am on the 1st of the month, I knew I had to be quick to get them! So here were my choices...
Illamasqua Glamore Lipstick in Rosepout. You weren't able to select which colour you'd receive but fortunately I received the extremely wearable shade Rosepout, a satin finish neutral pink/brown.
Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser. I've loved pretty much every one of Murad's products that I've tried so far so I was very excited to see a generous 30ml sample in this month's shortlist. This cleanser contains Salicylic, Lactic and Glycolic acid to help dissolve dead skin and leave skin smooth and clear...I can see me loving this product!
As a couple of little extra's there was a sachet sample of Cowshed's Perfecting Night Serum and a bottle of Gold Collagen liquid ant-aging supplement. I'm extremely happy with this month's box, not only was it a great list of products to try but the value for money is incredible being as the box itself is only £6.95 and the lipstick alone costs £18.50!
